WELCOME TO LIONWORKS AGENCY
After years of going it alone in the craft of writing, Ron joined a chapter of the Romance Writer's Assoc. in Syracuse, NY. Some time later, he met Millisa when she joined the group and the friends connected over their interest in great storytelling. Not only did they each have a passion for writing, but also for giving back to beginning writers from their combined experience of over 45 years. Out of this desire to provide encouragement and a mentorship-style investment in a writer's work, LIONWORKS Agency was conceived.
When you engage LIONWORKS, you are enlisting dedicated, experienced professionals who want to champion the work that comes from within you, thereby allowing it to roar into life! From providing one on one support, multimedia workshops and presentations on writing, to providing services like Developmental and Line editing, we work hard with both beginning and experienced authors to help them polish their work, share their unique voices and grow their soul while doing so.
At LIONWORKS, we believe the author has the map within them to unlock their best writing. While we offer easy to understand guidance and unwavering support, we always look forward to learning right along with the writers we aid in this process.

For anyone who longs to call themselves a writer or a writer who hungers to feel their words jump off the page, this is the go-to website. Ronald Bagliere and M.J. Woods, more familiarly known as Ron and Millisa, have created a showcase of opportunities for people eager to craft their literary skills and to bring their ideas to life. Workshops such as the Novelist’s Journey, single topic presentations such as dialogue, emotions, character study, scene-building are available for group participation. Ron and Millisa generously offer one-to-one coaching, which I promise has been invaluable to me. It’s a beautiful website, easy to navigate, enticing in its offerings, and welcoming to all of us who have stories to tell

I highly recommend the Novelist Journey for anyone who is searching for a positive, inspiring, experience in writing fiction, memoir, or non-fiction. Ron and Millisa's guidance, encouragement, editing, and knowledge of story telling have been invaluable to my growth as a writer.
Working with Millissa individually on my writing project has been a great adjunct to the Novelist Journey class. The individualized attention has given me self-confidence as a writer and helped me bring my story into the light.
LIONWORK’S seminar "Breaking Down the Dramatic Scene" was for me one of those rare experiences that completely changes the way you think about something. The prevailing wisdom around engaging a reader by immersing her or him in a well crafted scene made the seminar particularly pertinent. I will never think about creating a "scene" for a reader in the same way. It was like opening a window to a whole new world of story creation. I particularly appreciated Ron's supportive guidance in helping us see all of the nuances in creating powerful "scenes."
I highly recommend this seminar.

Fellow Writers, if you’re looking for a writing workshop that doesn’t cost several hundred dollars and send you endless emails about another workshop coming soon for another chunk of change, Ron Bagliere and MJ Woods are who you want to work with. Whether you’re working with one of them individually or in one of the many groups you will receive encouragement, feedback on your work with suggestions for composition, organization, character development, plot direction, scene development and transitions that help your writing be more fluid. I’ve taken several classes all of which I highly recommend: Novel Mechanics, Emotional Impact Writing along with one day workshops on formatting and writing the Dramatic Scene. Ron and Millisa build a safe, supportive, and generous community of writers. You will feel respected, celebrated, and supported by Ron and Millisa as well as by your fellow writers. If you want to build your confidence as a writer, then attend one of Ron and Millisa’s classes.

M.J. Woods lives in Central New York with her children and current canine sidekick, a 35 pound Sheepdog mix named Teddy Bear. For 25 years, her days were spent working in the legal field of a small town. Now, motivated by coffee and music, M.J. writes contemporary romance while drawing inspiration from her work and daily life surrounded by the beauty of the Central New York landscape.
For M.J., reading has been a lifelong passion and one she finds crucial not only for a fulfilled life, but as an inspiration to create her own multi-dimensional characters. Whether it is a supermarket find of the latest commercial romance, a motivational book of non-fiction or the writings of Rumi, reading sparks her imagination as much as an overheard conversation in a coffee shop.
Her favorite compliments to receive about her work mention a reader’s emotional investment in her characters, an ability to easily see and feel the settings of her books, and a feeling of being immersed within story. To know the writer’s experience while creating a work of fiction has translated to her reader in these ways is a cherished gift, and one she hopes to repay by leaving the reader uplifted – and perhaps with fresh ideas of what a romantic ‘happily ever after’ may look like.
In 2018, her first novel "Balance" earned two awards including a Silver Medal from Readers’ Favorite (Romance-Suspense category) and positive reviews from Foreword Clarion, Readers’ Favorite and Indie BRAG. The release of three full-length novels in one year (The Amped Series Trilogy – Balance, Sway, and Fall) has been described as prolific, however since the pandemic she has focused on her children and navigating through some major life changes. MJ is currently at work on her fifth novel while also researching ideas for future creative projects and helping aspiring writers tell their own stories.
