NEWS FLASH:: The Legacy will be coming to you in the spring of 2025
Imagine this: You’re sixty years old, divorced, broke. What’s more, you’ve squandered away being the husband and father you should’ve been to your wife and children in your quest for status among your architect peers. Don’t worry though, that’s all about to change. Unfortunate encounters with large trucks on the highway have a way of altering your plans, like jettisoning you back into the past to wake up next to a woman you dated in college. You’re also about to realize she hasn’t aged a day, or for that matter, neither have you.
Thirty years stripped away just like that, and as a bonus you have a six-year-old son you have no recollection of. You also have a new home, a brand new career, new friends and family, and skills you never had in your old life. There’s nothing like straddling two distinct lives, trying to figure out how you know some things and yet not others. If only you could remember your past in this new world. What do people know about you that you don’t know about yourself? What kind of person are you? What secrets have you kept from those you love in this life? Is this your chance to redeem yourself or are you fated to repeat the life you left behind and end up alone again? Better figure it out, and quick.
"Have you ever wondered what you would do if you were given a “do over”? Well, Alan, the narrator of this book certainly does. This well written book tells this first person story from the perspective of a 60 something man all of a sudden transported to 20 something and given the opportunity to do it all over again. He isn’t dropped into his earlier life exactly, but something close, where he has to really think on his feet where he meets people he is expected to know but doesn’t.
This book will keep you coming back to find out how this whole thing is going to end (or will it?). It is a well written, entertaining, engrossing read. There are lots of characters, so be sure to note the names and relationships. Dates are clearly given, but pay attention as the book moves quickly over time. - Amazon customer

Binod and Sila Thapa lose their home and everything they own when a powerful earthquake strikes the Kathmandu Valley. But even worse, they lose their children, Arjun and Sunita, who were visiting their grandparents in the foothills of the Himalayas, to human traffickers preying on the vulnerable victims of the earthquake.
Terrified, Binod and Sila run to the authorities, and along with family and their friends, Lincoln Webber, Mick Hanson, and Palisha Kc, delve into the seedy world of dubious orphanages and unscrupulous bondsmen in a desperate race to find their children before they’re whisked away beyond their reach.
With time running out, and the authorities overwhelmed with the loss of life and the injured from the quake, Lincoln and Mick devise a desperate and risky plan, going undercover to get the children back before they’re smuggled over the Indian border. But the forces of nature aren’t done with Nepal just yet…
The author does a great job describing the sights and sounds of Kathmandu, especially the crowds and traffic in Thamel, from his own personal experience. This story captures the anguish of Binod and Sila when their children are taken by human traffickers, and describes the difficulty in trying to find the children in a horrifying world of crime they know nothing about, all in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake. It’s intriguing to see how the cultural norms affect the relationship between Binod’s friend Mick and Palisha, born on different sides of the world. I highly recommend this story of adventure and romance. - Amazon customer

Taken in by the Himalayan Sherpa as a child, Mountaineer Frank Kincaid grew up following the ways of the mountain people. When American, Sarah Madden, came in 2011, it was for her son’s expedition. Now Sarah is back and part of his world. The lama in Khum Jung calls it destiny. But the lama doesn’t know his part to play in the death of Sarah’s husband twenty-five years ago or his role in a recent accident on the Everest Icefall. With Sarah’s getting closer and closer to his heart, he finds himself at the crossroads that will force him to come to terms with a seminal decision in his past.
Reviews for The Himalayan
The Himalayan is a novel of adventure and romance set high in the Himalayas of Nepal. It is the third of Mr. Bagliere’s novels set in Nepal, and his familiarity with the region shows in every line. Some of the characters in this work appeared in his earlier books (The Lion of Khum Jung, On My Way to You), but you won’t need that context to enjoy this story because there is no continuity of plot. Rather, this novel thrusts its characters into the turmoil generated by the natural disasters (earthquake, flood, landslide, and blizzard) that assaulted Nepal in 2014. - Amazon Reader

John Patterson has always been a loner.
At age 20, he left behind his home in Oak Creek, Colorado for the adventure and isolation of the Himalayas. After years spent building his reputation in the climbing circuit, his heroic rescue of an inexperienced climber on Everest resulted in the loss of his leg. John’s struggles mount as he adapts to life as an amputee and, despite his sacrifice, is betrayed by the company he’s given half of his life to.
With few friends and being disconnected from his family back in the States, John’s still a loner, now sidelined to the Annapurna Circuit until he can prove himself and reclaim his place on Everest. But when a family crisis calls him home to Colorado, a discovery threatens to unravel everything he’s believed about a father he never knew.
John returns to Nepal teetering on the edge, a solitary man against the world fearful of losing the one thing that means the most to him: his life-long career.

Reviews for: On My Way to You
"Hard to put down. Engaging, realistic characters. Vivid description makes it easy to imagine the setting and the action. Well worth the time." - Amazon customer
"If you enjoyed The Lion of Khum Jung, you’ll enjoy On My Way To You. Ron Bagliere has delivered another story set in the same world as Khum Jung, and explores the life of John Patterson, who appeared in that book. John paid a heavy price doing the right thing in the events of that book, and On My Way To You explores his life in the time following that, and the events and family history that shaped his character before his life in Nepal.
As in The Lion of Khum Jung, Bagliere skillfully combines adventure and romance, and the settings and life history that made John the complex and fully realized character he is. Bagliere does what authors do, and provides John with new and unexpected challenges which force him to examine who and what he thought he was, and what he might yet be." -

Reviews for THE LION OF KHUM JUNG:
"Gets the reader instantly immersed in the challenges and dangers of climbing Everest, and the risks Sherpas take on a daily basis in shepherding their clients to the summit. Bagliere's own love of adventure and mountaineering gives this story an authentic, you-are-there feeling, and I was swiftly hooked into the decades-old fascination with Everest once again. Bagliere's plot is engaging, and his mountaineering scenes awesome. THE LION OF KHUM JUNG is most highly recommended." - Reader's Favorite

Reviews for Starting Over:
I found the characters to be very relatable. I felt empathy for them as they struggled with issues that many of us face over the course of our lives. I also like that not every issue was perfectly resolved. There is a good balance between realism and optimism. - Karen Chilson
